World Series Qualifier Results

Posted in Uncategorized on May 21, 2008 by beverlyhillscowboy

Good News!  My partner and I managed to qualify for the World Series of Team Roping Finals that will be held in Las Vegas in December.  We managed to win second place at last weekends qualifier which paid us over $3,000 in prize money.  By placing at the qualifier we are now qualified to compete at the December finals for some of the two million dollars in prize money that will be awarded.

I’m excited about going back to the finals again this year, Las Vegas is one of favorite places to compete and you can’t find many roping’s that pay this kind of big money to the winners.

New Horse

Well I finally managed to pick up a horse to replace my number two horse while his ligament injury heals up.  The new horse is a registered 10 year old paint from roping horse trainer Ray Siggins.  Ray sells some of the best roping horses you’ll see competing.  The paint horse is not championship caliber but he should be a good practice and back-up horse while my number two horse is out of commission.

I’m still looking for another horse to finish the season on.  I’ll be in Indio, California next week to ride a few horses and see if any of them are worth buying.   I’ve been roping at some of the local jackpot ropings the last couple of weeks and have managed to win a few hundred dollars.  With only one healthy horse, I can only enter each jackpot a few times.  I usually bring three horses to these ropings and having only one horse is really limiting the amout of times I can enter.
